NEW DELHI: Vivo has officially unveiled its next-generation foldable smartphone — the Vivo X Fold 5 — in India today, July 14, 2025. Alongside the foldable, Vivo also launched the Vivo X200 FE, a budget-friendly variant inspired by the Vivo X200 Pro. The new devices are poised to challenge strong contenders like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the premium foldable segment, while also targeting the upper-midrange smartphone market.

Vivo X Fold 5: A Bold Leap in the Foldable Segment
Vivo’s latest foldable, the X Fold 5, brings a blend of high-end specs, cutting-edge design, and powerful AI features. It sports a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits. When unfolded, the device reveals a large 8.03-inch AMOLED main display—ideal for productivity and media consumption.
One of the slimmest and lightest foldables yet, the X Fold 5 measures 9.2 mm when folded and just 4.3 mm when open, and weighs 217 grams. It also debuts second-gen Armor Glass on the cover screen for added protection.
